- Social Studies is a subject designed for knowledge, skills and values acquisition to transform citizens to become agents of change in their immediate and global environment. This study investigated teachers’ perception of Social Studies as a pedagogical tool for Citizenship transformation and positive change in new Nigeria. It was guided by three hypotheses. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The population consisted of 166 Social Studies teachers from 47 public secondary schools in Ogbomoso. A total of 118 Social Studies teachers was sampled using purposive sampling technique. Teachers’ Perception of Social Studies Curriculum Questionnaire (TPSSCQ) with reliability coefficient of 0.98 was used for data collection. Percentage and Independent t- test was used to analyze the data at 0.05 level of significance. Findings from the study revealed that Social Studies curriculum content is a pedagogical tool suitable for citizenship transformation and positive change in new Nigeria. Based on these findings it was recommended that, Social Studies teachers in secondary schools should be sensitized on how to transform citizens through Social Studies contents to become agents of positive change in Nigeria. 2 results 2

- Agricultural Transformation (AT) requires a new and different approach to policy making and implementation. It entails search by government for greater integration and co-ordination, looks for an approach that is characterized by greater partnership between federal, state and local government, economic entities, private industry and other community groups. The process involves diversification in the sector to meet changing domestic and trade demands. This study was mainly contents review of relevant literature and use of situation analysis. We examined agricultural policies changes in Nigeria and draw some lessons from successful agriculturally transformed countries. The results show that, bypassing small farmers during the process of AT is capable of marginalizing a large group of the rural population and cause social tensions. AT requires a comprehensive long term strategy that needs to be supported by long term commitment from the government and international development partners. The various steps Nigeria had taken in its AT process are necessary but not sufficient conditions for a successful transformation. Successful AT must be broad-based with efficient infrastructural investments in roads network, irrigation, consistent energy supply, high-speed and affordable communications, clear and consistent long-term policies, good working relationship among ministries and governmental bodies, effective rule of law, and good adaptation and mitigation measures consistent with sustainable development. 1 results 1

- Building Information Modelling (BIM) offers an alternative and better method of handling information for integrated project delivery approach to that of the traditional fragmented method of collaboration in the built environment. This paper is aimed at assessing the awareness and the prospects of adopting BIM in the professional Architectural practices in Nigeria using Akure as a case study. The rate of urbanisation and transformation of the built environment in the face of globalisation, calls for a new direction in the processing and handling of building information. This is particularly necessary as the current business model is inadequate for maximum productivity. The field investigation focused on determining the current business model of selected Architectural practice as well as assessing their awareness of Building Information Modelling and whether or not professionals are going to adopt it soon. The findings showed that the method of collaboration among professionals remain fragmented, the use of 3D software and even BIM software is limited to just 3D visualization and plan details. The study revealed that despite a good number of respondents already conscious of the benefit of using a BIM tool; their overall approach to project delivery remains fragmented. Awareness of the concept of BIM was a little above average among respondents but BIM implementation in professional practice is very low. It was discovered that challenges faced by respondents in the adoption of BIM is predicated on the attitudinal disposition of other professionals with whom they work and exchange building information with. These professionals do not work with BIM and coupled with inadequate knowledge of staff in the adoption of BIM workflow. The paper concluded that Building Information Modelling (BIM) has greater advantage than the existing traditional practice involving 2D drafting. BIM also has the inherent ability to foster integrated project delivery by creating a common platform for all professionals to work simultaneously on a project thereby minimising costly design and construction errors 1 results 1
