Description
Summary:Through international institutions the international community has played a major role in the Palestinian territories, particularly since the Oslo Accords in 1993, in formulating a neoliberal framework for political and economic development for a potential Palestinian state and economy. In this schema, a neoliberal conceptualization of Palestine means that no state is actually required to induce into existence the neoliberal condition in Palestine. By utilizing a neo-Gramscian analytical framework I ascertained that international institutions ensure neoliberal values in configuring and conceptualizing Palestine through unequal international agreements, policy recommendations, and development projects.
