The researcher sought to design and construct stools made in galvanized sheet metal known in the Ga language as “Dadesen” through welding to achieve knockdown forms. The researcher’s interest in sheet metal arose as a result of his search for an alternative material, apart from wood in fabricating the stool that would reflect traditional and indigenous African design by adapting ethnographical totemic themes and using contemporary technique and industrial technology in the execution of the work.
