Includes bibliographical references (leaves 81-89). Health professionals including nurses from developing countries are currently leaving their native countries at an alarming rate to work in other countries, especially developed countries. As such developing countries are faced with the depletion of skilled human resource and Lesotho is no exception in this regard. These nurses are leaving their families, however, the impact of nurse migration is not known on the families left behind. The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the experiences of family members of migrating nurses with regard to the costs and benefits on their lives. 2014-07-28T14:34:00Z 2014-07-28T14:34:00Z 2008 Master Thesis Masters MSc http://hdl.handle.net/11427/2961 eng application/pdf Division of Nursing and Midwifery Faculty of Health Sciences University of Cape Town
