description Environmental degradation happens in every country, at every level and scale, in many forms, throughout the world. It affects the Earth, its ecosystems, as well as people, animals, and plants. While everyone is affected, the poor are the most vulnerable to the ravages of environmental degradation. Humans are the drivers of such ruin and creators of this crisis. The situation is not improving, but rather deteriorating at an alarming rate. It is for these and many other reasons that this emergency and its effects on living things must end or at least be decelerated.
