In an environment of constrained public budgets and poor service delivery, private sector participation through Public Private Partnerships is increasingly being utilised as a vehicle to deliver public infrastructure. However, implementation is often problematic with varying degrees of success in different countries and sectors. To overcome a crippling power supply deficit, the government of Uganda is implementing strategies to encourage and incentivise private sector participation in the development of hydropower generation facilities. Notwithstanding the sector reforms and government commitment, private sector investment is still limited and many proposed projects have not materialised. 2014-07-31T10:34:25Z 2014-07-31T10:34:25Z 2007 Master Thesis Masters MSc http://hdl.handle.net/11427/5070 eng application/pdf Department of Construction Economics and Management Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment University of Cape Town |
