Data collection involved the use of three valid and reliable instruments to assess locus of control, self-esteem and academic motivation while achievement tests on English Language and Mathematics were used as a measure of academic achievement. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyse the data. The results obtained indicated that locus of control; self-esteem and academic motivation were potent predictors of academic achievement. The implications of the findings for Counselling practice, teachers and parents were discussed. " | ||
