A fundamental human right, access to adequate menstrual hygiene management (MHM) has a substantial impact on the empowerment, education, and health of Zimbabwean schoolgirls. Even though this right has been acknowledged internationally, many Zimbabwean girls still encounter obstacles that make it difficult for them to properly manage their periods. The sociocultural, economic, and infrastructure issues that lead to insufficient MHM are examined in this research. It draws attention to the shame associated with menstruation, the dearth of reasonably priced menstruation supplies, and the inadequate hygienic facilities in schools. By looking at these problems, the study makes the case that legislative changes are required to guarantee fair access to MHM resources. Additionally, it emphasizes the role of community engagement and education in dismantling taboos and promoting a supportive environment for girls. Ultimately, the study advocates for a multi-faceted approach to MHM that recognizes it as an essential aspect of gender equality and human dignity, urging stakeholders to prioritize this issue in public health and education agendas.
