This research investigated the causes of the rising prevalence of ancestral calling occurrences in Gauteng schools and proposed management methods or solutions. The research determined that these occurrences represent ancestor communication, frequently evident in children due to their spiritual gifts and sometimes a need to become traditional healers. The research underscores the need for parental involvement in children's spiritual development, and schools need to implement emotional and spiritual assistance chaplains. Essential tactics encompass integrating religious education to promote comprehension and diversity, imparting historical narratives that present a balanced perspective on colonialism and religion, and enhancing sick leave policies for individuals pursuing spiritual initiation. The study further examines factors influencing these occurrences, including environmental elements and different ancestral spirits, while acknowledging factors such as peer pressure and other learners faking manifestation for various reasons. Negative impacts on students' emotional well-being, academic performance, mental health, and, importantly for this study, religious views, have been seen as a result of society's judgment and uncertainty around these beliefs or lack of understanding of African religions. The research highlighted that the lack of undemanding African religions has a long history that can be traced back to a cultural superiority that has suppressed African religions and has shaped the society to date.
