| spelling | oai:repository.up.ac.za:2263/18646 A framework convention on global health : a tool for empowering the HIV/AID movements in South Africa and Senegal Dioh, Adrian Scheepers, Ella UCTD Global health HIV/AIDS movements World health Public health -- International cooperation Thesis (LLM (Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa)) -- University of Pretoria, 2011. Despite the Alma Ata inspired slogan ‘health for all by 2000’ in the second decade of the twenty first century, the world remains affected and infected with bad health. This situation has generated much debate, and as a result, national and global responses have arguably entered a new era building on the past success and failures of health movements, most notably on the back of the global HIV/AIDS movement. It is acknowledged that the rights instruments that exist relating to the right to health have provided a healthy platform for advocacy and have lead to successes on the ground, but the question is where to go from here. http://www.chr.up.ac.za/ nf2012 Centre for Human Rights LLM 2012-05-02T08:44:54Z 2012-05-02T08:44:54Z 2011/10/30 Mini Dissertation Scheepers, E 2011/10/30, A framework convention on global health : a tool for empowering the HIV/AID movements in South Africa and Senegal, LLM Mini Dissertation, University of Pretoria, Pretoria, viewed yymmdd <http://hdl.handle.net/2263/18646> http://hdl.handle.net/2263/18646 en University of Pretoria application/pdf University of Pretoria |
