The aim of the study is to investigate the impact of exclusion of children on marriage dissolution proceedings and decisions. This investigation takes place in Matatiele, Thotaneng at Tshita administrative area. It further investigate to what extent are children included in the process and if they do receive guidance in the process of the dissolution of a customary marriage. This thesis is aiming at investigating the role of the church could play in improving the situation of children who are caught up in the process of the dissolution of a customary marriage and recommendations thereof.
