(Heinrich Everhardus) ilanageldenhuys@gmail.com Geldenhuys, Ilana UCTD Dissertation (MCom)--University of Pretoria, 2016. This study focuses on the relation between the work stress perceptions of Grade 3 teachers and the theoretical explanations of work stress. According to the data gathered from the teachers, there are significant links between the work stress perceptions of Grade 3 teachers and the theoretical explanations of work stress specifically included in this study. Recommendations are made based on the findings of the study, as well as secondary notable information. Aspects that limit the results and findings of the study are listed and briefly discussed. In addition to this, Kinman and Jones (2005) assert that stress does not exist in a vacuum and thus cannot be studied by extracting the individual from his or her cultural and social context. It was therefore essential to investigate a specific group of employees with a qualitative approach in order to determine whether the theoretical explanations of work stress relate to the individuals experiencing the work stress themselves. tm2016 Human Resource Management MCom Unrestricted 2016-10-14T07:31:16Z 2016-10-14T07:31:16Z 2016/09/02 2016 Dissertation Geldenhuys, I 2016, Investigating work stress perceptions and its relation to theoretical explanations of work stress amongst a group of teachers, MCom Dissertation, University of Pretoria, Pretoria, viewed yymmdd <http://hdl.handle.net/2263/57173> S2016 http://hdl.handle.net/2263/57173 en © 2016 University of Pretoria.
