The study analyses the treatment of traditional artefacts in Northern Sotho-English Dictionaries. It highlights that artefacts have not received proper treatment in such dictionaries. The end-user is often left unsatisfied because the artefacts are not explained in such a manner that the end-user understands what they are or used for. As a result, the study recommends the use of pictures and paraphrasing to resolve the aforementioned challenge. tm2016 mz2026 African Languages MA Unrestricted SDG-04: Quality education 2016-10-14T07:32:14Z 2016-10-14T07:32:14Z 2016-08-31 2016 Mini Dissertation Mokoka, ME 2016, The treatment of cultural artifacts in selected Northern Sotho dictionaries : a lexicographic analysis, MA Mini Dissertation, University of Pretoria, Pretoria, viewed yymmdd <http://hdl.handle.net/2263/57209> S2016 http://hdl.handle.net/2263/57209 en © 2016 University of Pretoria.
