Entrepreneurship education at higher levels of education from secondary school education though business courses such as Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) within the South African context, is evident across the globe. A literature review was done to make sense of the studies performed related to this study to obtain a thorough knowledge of the concepts and empirical evidence. However, the foundational level entrepreneurship education is limited, if at all present for many countries. This study aimed to explore the opportunities of implementing entrepreneurship education at the foundation level, that is pre-primary and primary school level and how this could be achieved. The study employed a qualitative research design, whereby 15 semi-structured interviews were conducted to explore the critical curriculum consideration for entrepreneurship education at the foundational level. The results showed possible opportunities, entrepreneurial skills, how and why entrepreneurship education at the foundational level is necessary. This study is limited to the South African context. This study has added value to the literature on entrepreneurship education at the foundation level and methodological contribution.
