This dissertation provides an overview of the law regarding online violence in Malawi. It critically analyses the effectiveness of the law in the protection of women from different forms of online violence in Malawi by considering the socio-legal issues prevalent in Malawi around this topic. It further, conducts a comparative study of the laws from Ghana and Mauritius to be used as a learning point in the study. This study gathers lessons that can be implemented in Malawi to ensure the effective protection of women from online violence. The findings and recommendations, provide the synopsis of the findings of the study and a way forward for Malawi to build a robust legal framework that will better the situation in the country.
