There are a number of 2030 Sustainable Development Goals that focus on health and the environment. These goals include Sustainable Development Goals 2, 3, 11, 13, 14 and 15. Furthermore, research has demonstrated various benefits to adopting a vegan diet. These include benefits to both the environmental and to human health. To determine whether veganism can help achieve Sustainable Development Goals 2, 3, 11, 13, 14 and 15, the environmental, human health and economic benefits of adopting a vegan diet are examined. The efficacy of veganism as a tool to achieving the SDGs is possibly being underutilised and how there is great potential in this dietary choice.
