This study was undertaken to investigate the synthesis, reactivity and structural aspects of new chromium(O) thiocarbonyl complexes. The preparation of ,r -arene thiocarbonyl chromium (0) complexes and the subsequent synthesis and X-ray structure analysis of the end-to-end 6 bridged (n -c 6 H 5 Me) (Co) 2 CrCSCr(C0) 5 complex is discussed. Furthermore the reactivity of 'IT-arene thiocarbonyl chromium(O) and pentacarbonyl thiocarbonyl chromium(O) with regard to substitution reactions, and modification of the thiocarbonyl ligand was investigated Chemistry MSc (Inorganic Chemistry) 2024-11-27T09:15:55Z 2024-11-27T09:15:55Z 22/02/02 1985 Dissertation http://hdl.handle.net/2263/99463 en © 2024 University of Pretoria.
