Available: https://scholar.sun.ac.za/items/f658002e-90f7-420b-9a75-1b8e6d6265da This study investigates how Special Divine Action events provide a theological grounding for divine solidarity and eschatological hope in the context of emotional suffering. This research explores how God responds to emotional suffering not only in a historical sense through Jesus Christ but also experientially through the Holy Spirit. These themes are integrated with two doctrinal foci namely the Eucharist and a Theology of Hope to show how believers in the Pentecostal tradition may participate in Christ’s divine solidarity and hope through the mediating presence of the Holy Spirit. Psychological research on the value of relational presence and solidarity is incorporated to highlight their effectiveness without grounding them in empirical proof. The study concludes that Special Divine Action is both possible and meaningful in light of emotional suffering and that a Pentecostal Pneumatological framework allows grieving believers to experience the effects of Christ’s salvific work as present comfort and future-oriented hope.
