AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Predikante binne die bediening bevind hulle dikwels binne 'n bedieningsituasie waar lidmate vir pastorale begeleiding binne die konteks van 'n verhoudingskrisis vra. As gevolg van hul opleiding in Teologiese Fakulteite waar vanuit 'n kerugmatiesee reemwerk gedink word, en hul bloodstelling op voorgraadse vlak aan die psigologie, word die vermoë van die predikant om iemand sinvol pastoraal binne 'n verhoudingskrisis te begelei onder verdenking geplaas. ENGLISH ABSTRACT: Clergymen in active service often find themselves in a situation where a church member asks for pastoral guidance within the context of a relationship crisis. As a result of their training at Theological Faculties based on a kerugmatic paradigm and their experience of psychology at an undergraduate levels casts doubt on the ability of the minister to adequately provide adequate pastoral guidance in this situation.
