A comprehensive review of the literature has shown that a need for research exists to determine the possibility of differences in stress levels between persons of different races and sexes. This has resulted in an investigation with the following objectives: (a) The primary objective was to determine if a difference in stress levels exists between women managers, white men and black men. (b) The first secondary objective was to determine if there were different sources of stress experienced by women managers, white men and black men.
