ENGLISH ABSTRACT: A generic flutter model was designed to be used in the 1.5 m low-speed wind-tunnel of Aerotek, CSIR. After manufacture, the model was calibrated and tested in the abovementioned wind-tunnel. The result of this design is a transport type model wing of the spar/segment construction type, with flutter characteristics which can be summarised as follows: a flutter speed of 55.5 m/s and a flutter frequency of 9.25 Hz The named properties ensure that this model is ideal for use as a test vehicle in the study of aeroelastic phenomena, including active flutter control and active alleviation of dynamic loads. AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: 'n Generiese fladdermodel is ontwerp vir gebruik in die 1.5 m laespoedwindtonnel van Aerotek, WNNR. Na vervaardiging is die model gekalibreer en in bogenoemde windtonnel getoets. Die resultaat van hierdie ontwerp is 'n transporttipe modelvlerk met 'n spar/segmentkonstruksie waarvan die fladdereienskappe soos volg opgesom kan word: 'n fladderspoed van 55.5 m/s met 'n fladderfrekwensie van 9.25 Hz.
