AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Die impak van die NG Kerk het, sedert die einde van apartheid, skerp afgeneem en die afname in lidmaatskap is ‘n goeie bewys hiervan. Die redes vir dié afname is kompleks en om dit met enkele teorieë te probeer verduidelik is gewaagd. Dié studie kies die term ‘postapartheid-Suid-Afrika as ‘n kronologiese merker. ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The Dutch Reformed Church’s impact has declined sharply since the fall of apartheid, and the decline in membership is sufficient proof of this reality. The reasons for the decline are complex, and trying to explain them with a few theories is risky. In the study, the termpostapartheid-South-Africa is chosen as chronological marker.
